IT'S CAMBODIA NOW!

~Bangkok to Siem Reap.


From Thailand, you can come across to Cambodia via train or bus to Aranyaprathet in 4 to 5 hours. There is a close Bus Terminal (Morchit), a Train Station of Hualamphong in central Bangkok which takes you less than 50 Bath. We recommend you to take the train it is more comfortable than taking a bus to Aranyaprathet.

Once arrived at the Aranyaprathet, you should proceed your journey to poipet as there are nothing much to see in Aranyaprathet.  You can take tuk tuk for about 40 to 60 Bath to get to Poipet in 10 minutes and about 6 Kilometres from Aranyaprathet. Make sure you have your visa or passport with you for the Thai exit boarder to Cambodia.

From Poipet, you can direct take taxi, bus, minivan or private car to Siem Reap with different fare prices. If you are hungry, you can stop by the road of Poipet for a quick noodle of the local stall that only cost you around 10 to 20 Bath or less than 3000 Riel. The journey to Siem Reap will take you at least 4 to 5 hours. If you depart from Bangkok early in the morning, you can arrive at Siem Reap before night.

As you arrived at the destination, take a stay at Hak’s House with affordable price from 20,000 Riel. It only takes 10 minutes to a famous Angkor temple of Cambodia after enough rest at the hostel.

After morning breakfast, you can travel around the Siem Reap. Some attractions that you can go are: Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre, Pre Rup, Landmine Museum, Kbal Spean and many others. Do search more on the Siem Reap attractions that you can visit while you are there. One place that you should go when in Cambodia is the Angkor Wat. Take a tuk tuk is easy for you to tour around the Angkor Wat for just 50,000 Riel as the place is really big to tour in a day by feet.

It is a very historic places that noted in the UNESCO. It was built in the 12th century by King Suryarvarman II. It consist of many sculptures and temples in the land area of the Angkor Wat. Do check this our when you are in Siem Reap.

~Siem Reap to Phnom Penh.

After spending some time at the Siem Reap, you can start you backpacking journey to the next stop – Phnom Penh. Going there by bus is a lot safer and cheaper than taxi, it will only cost you around 18,000 Riel and about 5 to 6 hours to go to Phnom Penh. You can take the bus at the Chong Kov Sou Bus Station that situated 2 Kilometres from the central town.

Upon arrival at the Phnom Penh, visit the Central Market of Phnom Penh. 

Phsar Thmey.

It is situated not far from the central city; actually it is situated to the bus station that got off in the Phnom Penh. This Central Market is next to the bus station. Make sure that you stop by at the market, it is a “must go” attraction when you are at Phnom Penh. Here are some of images in the Central Market Phsar Thmey.

BEAUTIFUL FASCINATING FREE LAND OF THAILAND

Hello guys! 

Wondering where to go for backpacking this year?

Well, we suggest you take route to Thailand – It is the nearest to our country (Malaysia).
A little bit information on this neighboring country- Thailand:

Thailand is a country situated in South of Asia. This country borders Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar as shown in the world map before. 95% of its population is Thai and Buddist, the other percentage is Muslim and Christian. Thailand is a very popular tourism destination that much likely include all types of tourism sector; spa and recreation, business, leisure, nature, medical, and etc.

Lets us start the journey starting in Malaysia to several attractions in Thailand!

Malaysia - Hat Yai - Songkla.
From Malaysia, you can get several cheaper public transportations to Thailand such as:

1)      Train (The State Railway of Thailand)

Upon arrival, you can stay at the Taipei Hotel Hat Yai that situated at the central Hat Yai where there are several nearby attractions you can visit. The price per night is only at RM39, the hotel provides comfortable room and provide facility conveniences to its guest.

Some of the attractions that you can visit when arrived at Hat Yai - Songkla:

First suggestion - Klong Hair floating Market

From the bus terminal, you can take tuk tuk (Thai Taxi) to go to the Floating Market which might cost you only RM2.00. This Floating Market starts late in the afternoon and end until 8 pm. This market is very unique as the ways of the hawker sell their things such as food, beverage, tit-bits and etc, which is by boat. From here, you can eat just about everything that is selling there. For example, light food, heavy food, and some bizarre foods.

Looks yummy? This is the Thai version of French Fries… yum3~

Another place nearby to go to - Wat Hat Yai Nai.

The world’s third largest reclining Buddha – Stunning beautifully.

The statue (Phra Phuttha Hattha Mongkhon) is measured 35 meters long, 15 meters tall, and 10 meters wide. To go there, you can take took tuk tuk to this temple from the central Hat Yai with RM2.00 fare.

There are also other interesting places that you can visit in Hat Yai such as Kao Seng, Hat Yai Nai Sunday Market, Gim Yong Street Market and many more.


Next~ a quick journey to Songkla. 

This journey will only take you about 60 minutes by minibus in the central Hat Yai for only RM2.50 . Where to visit?

Beautiful… Isn’t it? This is the Songkla’s famous Samila Mermaid Statue.

The place is located nearby the sea. This location is great for relaxation after being wandering all day with a tale story share with the visitors about the mermaid. If you are hungry, you can go to Nang Ngam Road for refreshment which there are many restaurants available.

Hat Yai - Bangkok

The next destination you should visit is Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. It is known that Bangkok is the largest urban area of Thailand. From Hat Yat Train Terminal or Bus Terminal, you can directly go to Bangkok (Chong Nansi Station) with only RM49.00 to 69.00 that takes 10 to 12 hours journey.


Once you got there, you check in to LuB’ D hotel that situated nearby the Chong Nansi Station at Bang Rak. The hotel provides the best facility for backpackers with RM40 for 4 pax per room. For food, the surrounding area of the hotel has several restaurants that you can dine at and some hawkers’ stall for quick food on the go.

There are also floating market in Bangkok  which is much bigger than the one in Hat Yat with variety of food, handicrafts and many others.  There are Taling Chan Floating Market Bang Khu Wiang Floating Market, and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. And you can even hop in a boat for a ride to the market.

Next, at night you can go to Khao San Road where there are variety food, clothes, accessory, souvenier and others sold, which it takes about 20 minutes away from Silom. You can take taxi with RM6.00 only to the destination. There are other attractions that you can go are Patpong Night Market, Snake farm, and others.

Bangkok – Chanthaburi
From Bangkok Terminal, you can ride a bus to Chanthaburi which takes you 3 and a half hours to arrive with a fare about RM18.50. Some of the destinations that you can visit in the Chanthaburi are Si Chan Road, Khuk Khi Kai,Wat Khao Sukim and others. 

You can as usual take tuk tuk to travel around the places, and have some food nearby the area that are popular with Kuaitiao Phat Pu,  Kuaitiao Nua noodle, Nam Phrik Pu Khai, and others to try in Chanthaburi.

Before You Travel.. IMPORTANT!

Hi Backpackers..


Before you go travel, there are many things that you will need to do and plan. Backpacking is not like other travel that you will enjoy travel along the journey, but this type of travel will face dangers, adventures and  it is challenging. So there are some tips for you before go backpacking!


5 Important Tips 
1) Do some research!
You must plan where are you going and from where to start your journey. Learn about the country especially the culture, customs and some basic facilities.
2) Invite friends to join!
It would be more fun with some of your friends stay along with you rather than go alone.
3) Bring only the necessary things!
It is more practical and convenience. Bring only the important goods with you and if necessary, take only the travel pack size for your stuff and don't bring too many clothes.
4) Do not be stuck!
Once you reach to the place that interest you most, don't be stuck. Open up your mind and respect other people. If you may encounter with some obstacles, be more patient and deal with calm.
5) Can take any risks!
Adventure is behind you. Do not be afraid to take a risks, but be careful. Avoid from something that you are unfamiliar and stay along with your friends.

Some people doesn't care about their backpack. They put everything in their bags. BUT... by the time they will need something important like torchlight, they will  find it difficult to find it in the bags.. LET'S keep it light..
